The term evergreen simply refers to a plant that keeps its leaves green year round. For our Clean Hand Sanitizer, we chose a blend of three evergreens (in the form of essential oils): organic Nordic Pine, Rosemary and Eucalyptus. Each of these plants have a therapeutic intention, or benefit, which we carefully consider in the formulation stage. Together, they form a scent profile that is reminiscent of deep green forests, for a sensory escape into nature wherever you may be.
Nordic Pine
Cleansing full body properties and a calming effect.
Pine has been extensively studied and researched for its benefits in natural medicine; various pine extracts are often sold in Europe as a pharmaceutical / prescription ingredient. Pine is extremely rich in various antioxidants that have a long alkyl chain (long length structure), which means that these compounds can stay in the bloodstream longer.
Eucalyptus
Clarifying for the breath, uplifting for the senses.
Eucalyptus provides a unique sensation that’s fresh on the skin and opens the sinuses and lungs. Eucalyptus is a cooling plant that's been found to help ease inflammation and manage the natural inflammatory process.
Rosemary
Calming for the mind, restorative for the body.
Rosemary has been extensively studied, and has a number of various health benefits and is often consumed in supplements. This is because the plant is loaded with antioxidants that work on cannabinoid receptors in the body (our endorphin-system and perception of pain). Research has also been found to support rosemary and it’s various constituents for aromatherapy and skincare, supporting skin-renewal and mood.
